Strafe runs are a killstreak reward that I love for several reasons. First, it doesn’t require a ton of kills so you will get it relatively often. Second, you can’t really shoot it down effectiely. Nothing burns the killstreak high like whipping out an AC-130 only get it shot down in 10 seconds.
Killer Rush Class – P90 + Akimbo Scorpions

nicod3mus I’m a big fan of rush classes, sometimes to the detriment of my kill death ratio. The P90 has always been one of my favorite Call of Duty weapons and the akimbo machine pistols are just plain overpowered as a secondary weapon in MW3. Modern Warfare 3 has a lot of pretty tight (tight as in close range) maps which is typical of the franchise. That being said rush classes are widely used and play style can certainly contribute to how successful you are with them. Without turning this into an article about ho to play a rush class the bottom line is this. Sticking to close quarters environments (like inside buildings) and staying out of open spaces is obviously key.
The Overkill Perk

The Ballistic Vest
November 15th, 2011 nicod3mus I have gotten a lot of questions about the ballistic vest lately so I thought I drop a quick line about it. The ballistic vest is a support strike package killstreak reward and it’s actually pretty decent in terms of getting some easy XP. In case you are not aware, the support strike package goes up to 18 kills, does not reset on death, and killstreak rewards count towards the total (maxes out at 18 and then starts over).

As mentioned in the other article I wanted some COD MW3 ringtones for my Android device but alas…. I found nothing worth using. Even though you can set any MP3 as an Android ringtone I couldn’t find anything that sounded good.

Yes you can use any MP3 audio on most android devices but finding something that sounds right as a ringtone is a different proposition entirely.

So last night as I was heading to the local bar here in NYC to check out the end of the Bears vs Eagles game I came across the line at Gamestop here on Austin St. It went all the way down the avenue block and a short distance across the corner.

Mountain Dew Double XP in COD MW3
November 3rd, 2011 nicod3mus This is a follow-up article regarding the Mountain Dew promotions for COD MW3. I first read about the 20 packs being sold by Walmart that have codes for 90 minutes of double XP in the game but after doing some more research it appears to be a pretty broad promotion.

November 3rd, 2011 nicod3mus I have witnessed some big game launch promotions in my time but this has got to be the biggest and baddest of them all. Walmart will be holding COD MW3 tournaments prior to the midnight release of the game at 2,700 retail locations. The tournaments will start at 8:00 PM and prizes include a copy of the game at each local location.
